Context

Defining a new in-store voice and overhauling the customer facing touchpoints for Verizon’s Next Gen Stores. Verizon stores were cluttered spaces of devices and accessories and consumers found them uninteresting and ineffective. On the heels of a branding refresh by Pentagram, Verizon was looking to reminagine their retail presence to express a new strategy focused on seamless digital experiences for their customers.  Consulting for SET Creative, I helped lead their design team to craft a satisfyingly direct approach to their new in-store voice and created graphic frameworks to organize the new blueprint. Verizon were beginning to think of themselves more like a publishing platform—so it made sense to explore the the core tenets of a book store and apply this thinking to the graphic systems, the in-store messaging, way-finding narratives and merchandising system alike.
